ECDC teatas toetudes Venemaa ametlikele allikatele teatab, et Irkutski oblastis polnud ei katku ega laboriõnnetust, vaid laborant suri kopsupõletikku. Irja Lutsari hinnangul ei reageeritud Euroopas õnneks selle juhtumi puhul üle.
